Windows Server Administrator Job Responsibilities Your specific duties as a Windows Server Administrator will include: Performs analysis, acquisition, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of server/computer hardware, operating systems, and software utilities; Manage the deployment, upgrades, and maintenance of, servers, hardware, software, desktop operating systems, and printers; Maintains software such as compilers, link editors, assemblers, utilities, scripts, macros, and subroutines; Provide system administration of hardware, operating systems, application software, and overall solutions; Maintain server backup systems and monitor system performance; Create procedures for installation, use, and solving problems for IT hardware and software JOB REQUIREMENTS Windows Server Administrator Job Requirements As a Windows Server Administrator, you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Associates Degree Preferred. Windows Server Experience Required. Windows Server Certification(s) preferred (MCITP: SA, MCITP: EA, MCSA, MCSE, MCTS, VCP), Experience with SQL database, backups, remote management tools, Active Directory, and setting up domain controllers. VMware experience a plus, SAN experience a plus, Storage experience a plus, experience working in a mission critical environment. Ability to type and fundamental knowledge of computer word processors, database, and spreadsheet applications. Salary based on experience.
