If you are following UNFs Interpreting programs, you know we are still toddlers as we upgrade the curriculum on a semester-by-semester basis, hire new faculty (watch for an upcoming position announcement), and expand our offerings to meet the needs of Deaf and DeafBlind consumers. For example, in the last two years we have totally overhauled the AS-BS concentration to a blended learning model with classes in DeafBlind Interpreting, Cognitive Processing, Advanced Classifiers, and Mentorship (among many others). We are in the final approval stages for starting our new Community Interpreting bachelors degree option. The General Practitioner and Interpreting Pedagogy masters programs continue to expand to meet the needs of pre-certified interpreters, certified interpreters, and interpreter educators. Every semester brings improvements and innovation.
