If you are going to be in Brooklyn, here are some of my favorite restaurants for dinner. Vinegar Hill House Vinegar Hill/DUMBO - New American. A real favorite Speedy Romeo Bed Stuy/Clinton HIll wood fire over and stove. Pizza, steak. All good. Beer and wine only. This is our go to place because it never disappoints and is close to our home. Across the street is a good small cuban place Uni Nom - Bed Stuy - Thai/Filapino BYOB Walters (one in Ft Green and one in Williamsburg) - New American. Great food and great drinks, but do not order the ribeye. It is covered in sauce. Locanda Vini & Olii - Fort Greene Kick as Itlaian Beer and wine only. My goto for real Italian. Good Fork - Red Hook - New American. Would go more often but kind of a pain to get to Do or Dine - Bed Stuy - Agressive American. When we went there last year they did not have dessert except frozen snicker bars. It like the Beastie Boys opened a restaurant. Drinks are good also Gwyneth St - Buswick New American, experimental. In a tavern setting, not a fine dining setting, but the food could be Antica Pesa - Williamsburg - They only have one other restaurant and it is in Rome. Stone Park Cafe- Park Slope. Kind of Upscale. New American Farm at Adderley - Ditmas Traditional and new American. good vibe with great food. loved the beet salad 606 R&D Prospect Hts. - Old School food and New American. We loved this place Lulu and Po - Ft Greene Not sure what to call it. It only seats 24 and there are two guys in the kitchen #7 Greene. Ft Greene/Prospect Hts - New American. Kind of like Vinegar Hill House
