If you are in the medical profession and think you dont matter.....let me tell you that YOU MEAN EVERYTHING! Friday my grandfather was told he had to start dialysis immediately or would pass away in 3-10 days. I prayed to God that he would have the mind to make the best decision for himself. I did not think he would take the treatment. He asked his nurse at SCH what she thought. She said "it wouldnt hurt to try it!" and 2 treatments later he is eating again and has a will to live. I found that nurse tonight and cried with her. I have never felt so grateful to anyone I just met in my life. She gave my grandfather (along with God) the gift of life and his family the gift to enjoy it with him. The road ahead may not be easy but so far in 2 days its become a whole lot brighter. I hope that nurse and her coworkers know they just gave my family everything that means anything. Hope.
