If you are legalistic or religious, beware. I am about to ruffle your feathers with the Gospel. :-) Cheap grace is such a disgusting term. This grace was paid for at a great cost, so there is NOTHING cheap about Gods grace, but it is FREELY given to those of us who do NOT deserve it. Repentance IS turning to God. A person CANNOT turn to God, which is to repent, unless God gives it to him to do so. A man can receive NOTHING unless it is given to him from above. Grace creates repentance, for it is God who draws us first, then fills us with His Spirit and causes us to walk according to His commandments. God will save and draw whom He chooses. ;-) (Romans 9:10-26) John 6:44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. John 3:27 John answered and said, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven. Is this not ALL grace my friend? Read below of the instance of salvation. It is ALL God doing the doing. :-) Any questions on the process?? You know... Like YOUR part in being saved? Oh... Strange how that is missing here. It is ALL Gods part. Praise God!!!
