Driver will also assist with light duty work maintenances in the Family Bargain Center and as requested by Manager(s). Other miscellaneous duties will be directed and requested by Manager(s) regarding safety and merchandising items. Supervisor: FBC Manager Classification: FLSA non-exempt Part Time, depending on need Responsibilities: •Pick up donated items at donor’s residence or place of business •Deliver purchased item to customer’s home or place of business •Transport items to the city dump and recycling facility •Assist with FBC community and fundraising set-up and clean-up activities •Check donated electrical items for safety reasons before sale •Other duties may involve general maintenance activities involving removing trash from building, change lighting equipment or filters from a/c units, and other light duty work requested by Manager(s). •Assist with miscellaneous merchandising duties to be sold as requested by Manager(s) •Load bags of clothes, shoes and books in Fed-Ex transport trailers for Tiedemann Globe •Monitor Community Services Workers who are assisting with transporting of items •Maintain general maintenance (ie. Oil change, tire inspection, etc.) of delivery van •Comply with PRDVS and FBC policies, procedures and rules •Comply with required safety procedures during operation of vehicle and mechanical equipment •Use proper safety procedures in lifting and transport of donated or purchased items •Must wear and use required safety equipment, (ie back brace, dolly, steel toe shoes, and proper clothing, gloves, etc.) •Communicate with Manager(s) or volunteers of pick-ups and delivery •Complete timesheet and leave requests •Have discretion to deny donation based on whether it is broken or non-sellable. Qualifications: •Must have High School Diploma or GED •Must be 18 years of age or older, have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record per Department of Motor Vehicles •Able to meet and pass a background check and fingerprint clearance through DPS. •Able to obtain CPR/First Aid certification •Must have physical ability to climb stairs and be able to lift 5 lbs. or more in order to meet the physical requirements of this position. •May require heavy duty lifting of 75 lbs. or more (proper lifting practice and equipment will be required) CURRENT SCHEDULE NEED: Monday, Wednesday & Saturday (FBC reserves the right to change this schedule based on need) PRDVS is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
