If you are one of the many millions who follow The Scriptures, reflect on what they say about the judgement of others and embody that message. Reflect on what they say about compassion and respect for everyone, and be that. Reflect on what they say about peace and nonviolence, and live that. I am one that does not belong to any particular religion but that embraces many of the values that binds them all, and everyday I challenge myself to be the change I want to see, to let my actions speak for me, and to acknowledge the humanity which many of our brothers and sisters feel has been stripped from them. If someone is saying they are in pain, why deny it, or try to convince them or others that in fact they are not hurting just because you do not feel it? If millions are saying that they are angry, exhausted, hurt, afraid, disgusted, frustrated, dehumanized, or targeted (in unison), then our only obligation is to listen, and to try to understand. To ignore them, to discredit them, to convince them that their pain isnt real, is no solution and it is not civil, and yes, your God would be ashamed.
