If you are unreliable in any part of the music industry (gigging, studio, teaching, etc.), it doesnt matter how good you are, you should probably find a new career path. People in small cities can get away with showing up late to gigs because they have this superior mentality of, Im the best (in my own mind). What are they going to do? Replace me? I wish there were more amazing musicians that have their priorities together to show these arrogant musicians that they ARE replaceable when they decide that showing up on time is not worth their time. Only then will we have a truly great music community.
