If you ask me, the Syrian Conflict, is an important issue for Hellenism. Although the average Greek views the Syrian Greek Orthodox minority as simply "Christian Arabs" there is a movement throughout the Levant in which these people are rejecting their Arab identity and embracing a Greek one. The question before Greek-Americans is will we reject these people embracing a Greek identity or will we embrace them?
