If you believe benefits street is in the slightest part an accurate representation of peoples lives, rather than a (partly-staged) calculated attack on the poor, edited by a wealthy, tory voting, fat cat, you need to take a long look at yourself. Is it that easy to fool you?. It is nothing more than the upper classes using their right wing media control, to turn the poor against the poorer. If you think we should abolish the welfare system in order to stop a minority from attempting to exploit it, then I can only hope you dont walk into work one day to find yourself made redundant and relying on the state between work. In reality, the majority of the welfare bill is spent on pensioners who have paid in all their lives. Lets talk about scroungers, the big companies that pay minimum wage, leaving the state to pick up the shortfall through tax credits and housing benefit, and then worm their way out of paying tax. Thats where most of my taxes go, not to a minority of poor without a knowledge of life outside the benefit system, but calculating, self serving rich, who dont have the decency to voluntarily pay a decent wage. So you can take your tax payers alliance, and your conservative party, and your vile right wing media, and shove it where the sun dont shine.
