If you cant explain WHY you do a certain movement/phase/rep scheme in your training, youre miserably hopeless at understanding the best ways to get better until you rectify this. If you cant explain it to ME, what the hell do you tell YOURSELF?!? Why are you loading the bar? Why are you hopping up on that box? Why are you tucking your elbows in?!?!?! Almost ALL explanations can be done in 3 sentences or less: Q: Mike, why do you do overhead triceps extensions? A: To grow my triceps so that I can make them stronger later and then use that strength to overhead press more. It should be about that simple. If its not... you might have a problem. PS some strong/jacked guy did this IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
