If you choose to move to another town/state/country, you are doing so because you believe you will have a better life there. Bringing along all your existing prejudices and practices simply recreates in the new environment that which you were trying to move on from. If I were to move into your home, I would expect to have to change my routines and adapt to the new environment I was choosing to enter, just as I would anticipate someone moving into my home would adapt to mine.
