If you do not want to make fun of someone today, you may want to skip this post. ;-) Lonely Shelf A short, short story Forgotten. Abandoned. These were common feelings among the citizens of Shelf. It had been nearly two years since they had felt anything but alone – late July 2011, in fact. But alas! Brazen Brenda and Jeremy the Gentle heard their forsaken cries! Though deep in the dark of night, rescue was on its way. Donned in her cape of command with sharp tongue unsheathed, Brazen Brenda came face to face with the most gruesome of villains: Already Made Plans. Without hesitation, she sprang into action. Jeremy the Gentle, armed with all forms of modern communication, steadied Brenda while reassuring the citizens of Shelf. With stealthily blows of speed and insistence, she dealt the death strike to Already Made Plans…snagging an upgrade to the last condo available. The chains of isolation, finally broken, fell heavily to the ground amidst cheers of gratefulness and reprieve. The citizens of Shelf quickly erected a new statue in the town square in honor of Brazen Brenda and Jeremy the Gentle’s heroics. Now, as nationwide celebrations of freedom erupt so to will the citizens of Shelf celebrate their newly acquired liberty.
