If you dont already know them, meet Maria Stoering, Darlene Besser and Teresa Hill. They are the Go to People at City Hall and the heart of all city operations. Maria has been with the city for 24 years, Darlene for 6 and Teresa is just coming up on 24 years of service. Open 8-4:30, M-F, City Hall is located at 200 South Third Street South, just a block and a half south of Main Street. City Hall staff are available to answer questions regarding ordinances, planning and zoning requirements, water and sewer billings, assessments, city agendas, and other various city information. Teresa Hill, The City Administrator-Clerk, holds a council appointed position and serves as the Chief Administrative Officer for the City. The Administrator-Clerk is responsible for directing staff on the implementation of policies set by the City Council. The Administrator oversees all department heads, coordinates the day to day operations, prepares and administers the city budget, works as the planning and zoning administrator prepares the city council agenda, administers city elections, and is the key contact for economic development. Teresa asked me to let you know that e-statements and payments will be coming to Waterville in the first quarter of 2015 making life a little easier for everyone that desires to take advantage.
