If you dont have a senior family member or friend...dont bother reading this...if you do, then please take the time to read this post. I have recently had more than one friend or family member of mine, experience a sudden change in their loved ones health. Because they did not think to use me as a resource for them, I am not sure anyone knows exactly what I do for a living. My title Community Relations Director (now) or Community Manager (past) of A Senior Living Community, does not really spell it out. I want everyone to know so that I can be a resource for you. It doesnt matter what city or state you are in, I am not trying to drum up business...I have chosen a career that pays it forward and I want to help as many people as I can through the process of finding safe placement for their loved ones when their is a change of health or a crisis. And be a resource for your next step or what your options are in Senior independent, assisted living, or memory care. I am in marketing now, and the community I work in has Independent cottages, independent community apartments, and assisted living apartments...I work closely with in home care groups and our memory care communities. I network with area hospitals, medical centers, rehabilitation centers, and skilled nursing centers. I have contact and reference for communities and facilities in most states. Radiant Senior Living has locations in Oregon, Washington, and Montana. They are a top knotch company that allows us to help families find a perfect fit for their loved one even if it isnt with our community. Our goal is to help ease the process for families in the process of locating a new home for themselves or a loved one. My personal work started with my grandmas story. Moving back to Bend to care for her and take the stress off of my mom who could not find proper safe and loving care for gram. And, how we found that a safe, secure, loving environment with proper meals and socialization extended her life dramatically. It was the toughest and best thing I have ever done in my life...taking care of my gram and experiencing the circle of life by allowing her to pass in our home as she requested. Gram changed our path in life, and her purpose was for us to pay it forward. So, please if you ever need information, just to talk about options for yourself or a family member...call me, text me, Facebook me! I help people I dont even know everyday...and visit people I dont know in their homes and at hospitals, just to deliver a meal and a smile and make their day a little bit better.
