If you dont know about net neutrality, its the fact that if you are trying to go to a website for a small company, or if you are trying to go to a website like netflix, you will be given the same bandwidth from your cable provider. This is a great thing because it allows us as as consumers to make very easily informed decisions based off of the advancement of technology rather than turning the internet into a battleground for who can supply more money to the internet service providers. For example, if today (where net neutrality exists) there was a competitor to netflix which didnt stream movies or tv as fast as netflix did, you would obviously use netflix because they have a better product. If net neutrality ended, you would never know if this was because netflix had a better product or if they are just throwing more money at the internet service providers trying to monopolize online video streaming. This discourages innovation and hits home for tech startups because they have innovation to create great products with great employees, but not necessarily the capital to give to internet service providers just to make their product seem as good as it actually is. Americas economy survives by innovation in products and services and net neutrality kills the ability to do this from a technology standpoint. Being against net neutrality is against Americas economic success.
