Personslly, Id rather work harder and make more money so that I could donate to charity, financially support causes I believe in, assist not-so-well-off relatives, pay for someones hajj, pay for college/university without taking haram loans, buy a house without a haram loan, etc. Almost everyone we meet these days who says money does not affect happiness fails to reveal their struggles and the extent of them. Im not asking people to make money the main and sole objective of their time in the dunya, Im asking you all to think critically and rationally and be able to tell if someone is genuinely datisfied living in financial difficulty or if theyre using it as a cover for their laziness. More often than not, its the latter.
