If you drive a car you have to have insurance, if youre buying a house you have to have insurance, if you want the heath care you think you deserve buy health insurance. The very people that are upset about people taking hand outs are the same that are trying to block this. Ive been to the doctor 2 times in the past 10 years, but I signed up after much coxing from my future wife and mother in-law. Unless you want to continue to pay ridiculous amounts for health care, or believe you can pray every sickness away, you should prolly encourage everyone you know to get health care. I already know the blow back Im gonna get from the right wing conservative friends out there that are Christians. My response will always be the same. The Bible commands US to take care of the sick and the poor. If you dont like how the governments doing it than tell your pastors to stop building multimillion dollar buildings and start focusing that money on fixing the problem. This is coming from on orphan whose life was changed by the word of the Lord, 2 sweet freshman girls at Baylor( Becca Alford Nelson and Christine Sadiq Hartig), a church family that was patient and loving in my immaturity, and the belief, set forth by the gospel, that it is OUR job to take care of the poor and less fortunate. Those girls where 18 yrs old when they help revolutionize my life. I now own my own company and dont complain about the amount of taxes I have to give back. If youre angry about the state of affairs, than be the change you wanna see, get involved, or write a letter to your pastor. Whatever you do dont blame the the government for not doing the job we are called to do.
