If you ever see a rescue group doing an event for heavens sake please STOP yourself from saying, I wish I could take them all or, If I only had a farm or, Id take one but I already have ___ (insert 1, 2, 3 dogs/ cats here) at home or any variation of these unnecessary excuses. Because if you do say something like this the volunteer you say it to will have to use all of their energy not to punch you in the nose and they really need that energy to finish the event, transport animals back to boarding/ foster homes/ the shelter and then drive home and feed/ walk/ clean/ care for the 6/ 7/ 8/ 9/ 10+ animals they have at home. If you wish you could take them all, or would foster if you didnt already have 2 dogs and 2 cats, or live in an apartment, or what have you, for mercy please JUST KEEP IT TO YOURSELF.
