If you find it hard to believe that Barack Obama has fallen this - TopicsExpress

If you find it hard to believe that Barack Obama has fallen this far - thinking back to the time when he talked about healing the earth and people took it seriously - you might consider this is what happens when we romanticize politicians instead of keeping a sober view of what they can do or should be expected to do. But regardless, the numbers continue to show that the American people are finally figuring it out. Too late for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan - too late for the nation, if were to be candid here - but its better than continued delusion. Three new metrics indicate just how hard reality is smacking the American people in the face, and one can only imagine the facepalms being performed across the land by people who not only bought this guys nonsense in 2008 but bought it again in 2012 when the opportunity was at hand to stop the bleeding and reverse the damage: First, a new CNN poll finds a dramatic reversal in the battle for Congress. A month ago, Democrats held a 50-42 advantage on a generic ballot, gauging basic party preference. The disastrous rollout of ObamaCare has driven a 10-point swing to the Republicans. The GOP now leads Democrats 49-47. More importantly, Republicans hold a 17-point advantage among Independents. Second, Obama’s job approval rating averaged 40 percent in the Gallup daily tracking poll over the last week, tying his lowest-ever weekly average from late summer. Here’s the best one, though: With a stagnant economy, a plethora of scandals and a failed health care law topping his resume, Obama ranked number 17 on GQ’s list of the 25 Least Influential People of 2013. People are figuring out that all Obama does is fail and try to blame others for it. That’s not the sort of thing that causes people to be influenced by you – at least not in any sort of positive way. But hey, it could be worse. At least he’s not #1 on the list. He shares space with the likes of Miley Cyrus, murderess Jodi Arias, Anthony Weiner and Lennay Kekua, the fake girlfriend of former Notre Dame football player Manti Te’o. Long live Carlos Danger! Tough news for the president, and richly deserved. You might get elected making big promises, and you might even get re-elected reiterating those promises. But eventually, if the promises are empty, people are going to figure it out. You might create an image of yourself as an effective leader and manager, but if you dont actually have these abilities (nor the inclination to develop them), it will become clear at some point that no one is steering the ship and no one is taking responsibility for avoiding that iceberg up ahead. How do you win back the publics confidence after you lose it this decisively? History would suggest you dont, but the one chance Obama might have would be to take responsibility for his lies and mis-steps, stop blaming others, dispense with the political spin and focus on correcting the errors. That, people would at least respect. Do you think hes going to do that? Neither do I. Maybe next year he will be #1 on the list. Miley Cyrus and Carlos Danger are tough competition, but they dont have the power to tank the economy, destroy the health care market and obliterate the so-called middle class. Obama for the win! If our fellow Americans were not to lazy and self indulged in their own stupidity and actually looked into this persons political history and where he came from we would not be in this mess! One more thing, I WAS RIGHT!
