If you have ever told someone something, and follow it up with, - TopicsExpress

If you have ever told someone something, and follow it up with, But dont say you heard it from me. It either means it is true, but you know you shouldnt be spreading it, or youre not sure if it is true, and therefore you shouldnt be spreading it. Either way, I know a group of gossiping people that have come up with or passed along multiple lies/rumors about myself and Im fine with that. (and Im sure I dont know the half of them) What has really been bothering me are that my friends also seem to be questioning me due to these rumors or their own perceptions of my interactions with others. I appreciate those that have come to me directly, but it still hurts. Your amusements of what someone has told you and your desires to pass it along with or without confirmation of truth may not change your life much, but it does mine. It hurts my reputation as a person, a trainer, a businessman, and even a dad. Please keep in mind these rumors are unnecessarily hurting more people than just myself, and of the few I have heard, none have been true. I feel it ridiculous to even address this, but it has come to the point where it is out of hand. I dont understand peoples infatuation with my life, but I am going through a tough enough period with what is REALLY going on and just ask for you all to keep in mind other important people in my life. The next time you hear someone saying something bad or questionable about me, my reputation or my personal life, simply ask them, How do you know? and I guarantee that will either stop the conversation, or they will know somebody, who heard somebody, who called somebody.... Blah, blah, blah. As far as my business and my life as a trainer, I strive to be the most professional I can be. I treat every client differently as some I have known long before I became a trainer, and some I have become very good friends with. I know other trainers whose lives and past arent anything to brag about, but they are good at what they do and I feel no need to call them out because their lives are none of my business. The fact of the matter is, I could be the most horrible, lying, lazy, rude person outside of work, but when it comes to training, I am surprisingly pretty great at my job. However, I try to be the best person I can be for myself and others, and if that person isnt good enough for you, or you doubt my sincerity, there is a simple solution, dont train with me. But please, stop with all the destructive rumors, they are hurtful to both my feelings, and my life. Rant done.
