If you havent been watching the Cosmos remix with Neil deGrasse Tyson - you are missing out. This is insanely good, straight up, kick-ass, take no prisoners science. It doesnt hold back - Straight no chaser. This show represents the cutting edge of human knowledge - of what we know as a self-conscious intelligence - As Carl Sagan said: science is a way for the Cosmos to know itself... Since we know, that through the process of stellar evolution (birth, life and death) of starts like our Sun, the elements that are essential for life are made. Elements that we are made of. All the episodes are good, but so far, Episode 3 was especially sharp: When Knowledge Conquered Fear... No apologies, science in the best idea humans have ever come with. It allows us to break the shackles of fear of the unknown -without losing the wonder, and gives us a better reason to better ourselves... Go outside (or go drive out of town, away from lights) Look Up.... If your lucky enough to make out the Milky-Way....That is what our species, no matter what part of the world, no matter what culture - has been looking up at for 100,000s of years... this canopy of stars has shaped us, is part of us. the link should work
