If you havent heard of Leftovers in St. Charles, its a great resource for teachers, scout leaders, church groups, home schoolers, etc. It is a recycling center which accepts donations of materials that can be used with kids. The list of items they accept is huge, so google Leftovers and see what you use that can be recycled there. It is nicely organized, and its amazing to see all the things that can be created using recycled or unwanted items. Youll find fabric, ribbon, paper towel rolls, containers of all kinds, school supplies, containers for organizing materials and much more. Some items are priced, but most are sold by the pound. Its open from 1-7 most Monday through Thursday and 9 - 3 on Saturdays. Theyre also looking for volunteers to help organize their supplies and sort through donated items.
