If you havent yet made it to the new Swissvale Farmers Market, theres still time - the market runs Saturday mornings, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. through October! Were getting into harvest season, and vendors are starting to offer all sorts of wonderful early fall treats... from heirloom tomatoes and honeycrisp apples to handcrafted salsas and chocolates. Weve got teas and coffees, wholesome breads and other baked goods, fresh pasta, cheese, honey, vinegars and oils, beautiful cut flowers, and prepared foods. There is a range of quality crafts and artwork that are great for gifts now and for the fall/winter holidays. Forgot cash? You can use your debit card, and we accept EBT/SNAP benefits. We also offer shopping assistance for customers with limited mobility - just ask at the managers table. If you came to the market this June, and wanted more produce, then give it another shot - weve gained farmers and expanded our fruit and veggie selection greatly since opening day. We often have musicians and theres a great community feel. This market was voted Best in Pittsburgh this August on the A-List, beating out more established markets all around town. The Swissvale Farmers Market is at 7421 Church Street, easily accessible by the 61A and 61B, with convenient parking options.
