If you hope to reach your potential in life, you are probably - TopicsExpress

If you hope to reach your potential in life, you are probably already familiar with some goal setting techniques. Of course, if you have spent the time writing down your dreams, you have probably also gone back and looked at those written dreams years later with disappointment. Stretching this assumption even further though, I would guess that if you are taking the time to read this you are interested in making the change to assure this does not happen again in the future. When you want to quickly set yourself on the right path, dreamboards can be a powerful tool to move you forward. Is a Picture Really Worth 1000 Words? Everyone has heard the hackneyed statement that “a picture is worth 1000 words.” Being a novelist and writer myself, I have to agree with this sentiment. Furthermore, I would point out that people are more likely to spend a few minutes looking at a picture than spend that same time reading 1000 words. The simple truth is that pictures give you a complete impression of a situation and your brain is able to process that impression much more quickly than it can read through a description of that picture. This means that pictures evoke more emotion than words do, and they do it more quickly than words do as well. Goal setting is essential to reaching your dreams, but simply writing down goals, no matter how specific, will never compare to the influence you can achieve by adding in pictures. If you are familiar with the Law of Attraction, the concept that you attract to yourself what you put out into the universe, then you should be creating dreamboards. How Do Dreamboards Work? When creating dreamboards, the key is to use images that will evoke real emotions. The more you can relate to an image, the more you are going to be excited about manifesting it in your life. One easy example that comes to mind would be your desire to own a certain car. Writing down that you intend to own that vehicle may push you in that direction, but if you took a picture of that vehicle and then wrote over it “I drive the car of my dreams,” it is going to have a much greater impact. If you want to get really creative, go to the dealership and take a picture of yourself sitting in the car. By setting up dreamboards, you can put a variety of your dreams and aspirations in one place. This makes it easy to look at each morning and each night, and if you have a chance even more throughout the day. Every time you see the pictures and read the brief words, you evoke the emotions and push yourself to vibrate at the frequency that will bring the results to you. If you don’t already have a dreamboard made, take some time to create one; you’ll be glad that you did.
