If you know me, you know theres nothing in the world I love to do more than sing. But I promise you, there isnt a more delicate, screwed up, prone to every little thing under the sun, can go down like the Titanic when the wind shifts phase instrument in the entire world. Not one. Every other musician can get sick--they can get sick, and yes, feel miserable, but the show can and will go on. When *we* get sick, the entire earth stops spinning--especially when its a busy music season. So hug your singer today! Say a prayer for them. Pray that their passaggios hold up. Pray that they can breathe through their noses. And if we act like headcases once in awhile, forgive us. Now if youll excuse me Im going to suck down some water and eat an entire bag of halls.
