If you live in Berkeley: our Measure I Construction Bond Oversight Committees co-chair spoke to the school board earlier this week. vimeo/106701226 Neighboring schools are having serious problems planning and implementing school construction needs; and are not as fortunate as our community to have expertise on the school board and within the district to stay in compliance with state law and to save construction bond monies -- even most recently saving $6 Million on the major construction project just completed at the high school in the South of Bancroft area. As a member of the CBOC committee, our monthly meetings keep us informed and asking questions -- then annually we submit the CBOCs state mandated report to the school board in writing.
