Would you like to come home everyday knowing that you are making a difference in peoples lives when they need it the most? If so The Sheffield-Wheelock Fire Department is looking for you. Contrary to many rumors we do not require a member to go to school for 200 hrs. although to become certified you do need to at no cost to the member. There are many jobs in our fire dept, truck driver/operator, flagger, water rescue, high angle rescue, extracation and of course fighting fire. We have a Junior Program that starts at 15 and a Support Group that coordinates fund raising and assists the firefighters during large incidents by running the radio at the station, making coffee and setting up rehab until the Red Cross arrives.
