If you live in the spirit of togetherness, what touches one house - TopicsExpress

If you live in the spirit of togetherness, what touches one house touches your house. ~Leymah Gbowee, peace activist VIA She Sings to the Stars: You see a stranger stub her toe and you immediately flinch in sympathy, or you notice a friend wrinkle up his face in disgust while tasting some food and suddenly your own stomach recoils at the thought of eating. This ability to instinctively and immediately understand what other people are experiencing is explained by the presence of mirror neurons. Mirror neurons are a kind of neural wi-fi that monitors what is happening in other people. One persons emotions activate another persons mirror neurons. Our brains are constantly reacting to the environment and literally changing based on the people around us. This puts us on the same wavelength and it does so automatically, instantaneously and unconsciously. ~Daniel Goleman
