If you no time, just move on. This one is not for you. Signs of the false prophet. Fake ministers. Sign number ONE - PROFIT OR GAIN. Theirs, NOT yours. There will almost always be MONEY involved. God GIVES. False prophets, teachers, apostles, etc. will always reveal their true nature, because they are TAKERS. If they ever do offer to give you anything, it is only to prime your giving pump so to speak. A very simple and easy way of never forgetting this is – “If its from God, it aint for sale and if its for sale, it aint from God.” For any who might be interested in Gods opinion of those who make merchandise of his gifts, you would do well to read these scriptures. And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity. (Acts 8:18-23 KJV) And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. (Matthew 10:7, 8 KJV) False Teacher: Sign 2 Listen very closely to what they say. They are WORD OF GOD contradictors and WORD of God changers. This is most often very subtle. They do not want to draw attention to their doctrine. They use a lot of punchlines, cliches, in order to look smart. Watch out for a mixture of THE TRUTH (some) mixed with lies (perhaps only a little)! The Word of God can be likened to Bread. Gal.5: 9 - “A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.” The false prophets thrive on the majority of Christians LACK OF KNOWLEDGE of Gods Word. Remember, half the truth is equals to a lie. False Prophet/ Teacher: Sign 3 They just love promoting themselves by showing what they are doing as a matter of priority. They show their community involvement! It does not seem like it has anything negative thing to it, if you think about it. It can easily be backed up with words like, we have to show those who support the ministry, how their money is being used. If that is the case, why are such reports not given to those who support the ministry, through any means available to them? What happened to, Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. (Matthew 6:1-4 KJV) And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God. (Acts 10:31 KJV) They use every chance they chance they get to show just how relevant they are to the plight of the Community. You have already received your reward, says God! You did it, then, without knowledge and without thinking about what you were doing. You wanted to glorify God, but did you? Really? Or were you showing your good deeds? False Prophet/ Teacher: Sign 4 False prophets would rather you did not question or doubt anything they do or say. They use very strong words like, Insubordination, Manipulation, Intimidation, Disrespecting the Anointing and Touching the anointed of The Lord. The use of such strong words is enough to deflate the faith of any well-meaning Christian. For peace to prevail, one is not expected to ask any question, you have to take things as they are told or even given. “The Bible says...” Test all things; hold fast what is good. (1 Thes. 5:21) They [the Bereans] received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. (Acts 17:10-11) If, one belongs to a church where questions are perceived to be disrespecting the authority of the Man of God, you can rest assured, that is a cult. False Prophet: Sign 5 They pervert the doctrine of grace. Grace-perverters Gal 1:6-8 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. (Galatians 1:6-10 KJV) 1. Does the teacher say that God does not love you? 2. Does the teacher say that God’s love must be paid for by money or possessions? 3. Does the teacher say that God only loves you if you are deserving? 4. Does the teacher say that God is not compassionate toward man? 5. Does the teacher accuse or ridicule our God for a lack of tolerance or patience? 6. Does the teacher say that God has chosen him to control the direction of his follower’s lives? 7. Do he say stuff that is contrary to mainstream teaching, regarding grace? 8. Does his teaching actually sound as if he is giving you the license to go and sin? 9. Does he emphasize holiness as a matter of must before God? If not, then what is he preaching, seeing that God is Holy? False Prophet: sign 6 They use the pulpit to defend themselves. Instead of preaching Christ, they spend the whole morning talking about how much, the media, fellow ministers, etc. are against them. They draw sympathy to themselves by talking about their own wounds. “A disciple is not greater than his teacher, nor a slave greater than his master. (Matthew 10:24 NET) They would like to make their challenges to be greater than those of everyone else. False Prophet: Sign 7 Their ministry is attractive to all sorts of other ministers of the gospel. When you look closely, you will find that they are not rejected by any church or denomination. Their gospel is inclusive and accommodative. Their anointing is available to all. They impart to anyone who is available. The first and primary thing that must be made available to all, is SALVATION AND REPENTANCE. Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38 KJV) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (John 1:12 KJV) And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: (Matthew 12:25 KJV) If everyone is endorsed, If everyone is comfortable, If everyone is left to his own business and church, If no one is won over, YOU ARE DEALING WITH A WOLF!! False Prophet: Sign 8 The means (use of things) justifies the end (healing and restoration). They know most people have had their health, wealth, families, etc. stolen from them. Many people flock to their churches in search of restoration. God promised restoration, the devil knows this. And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. (Joel 2:25 KJV) So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses. (Job 42:12 KJV) Since the promises have been made, the devil comes in and try to be one who brings the solution, ahead of God. The devils agents know this, so does his pastors and prophets. God delivers using His Word, nothing else. Anything else is not God ordained, nor Word endorsed. Gods means is the Word. The devils means includes water, vaseline, methylated spirits, salt, candles, isiwasho, etc. He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. (Psalms 107:20 KJV) And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. (Mark 16:15-20 KJV) False Prophet / Teacher: Sign 9 They use steal freedom from the sheep by using fear. Fear is a tool of the enemy. Those who are in cahoots with the enemy know that this is a powerful chain that can keep people bound, for as long as they may want to keep the victim, a prisoner. 2 Timothy 1:7 KJV [7] For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Numbers 13:31-33 KJV [31] But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. [32] And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. [33] And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. The Word is clear concerning what we have not been given, which is the spirit of fear. The enemy uses this very effectively to keep his prisoners under subjugation or dominion. Here are some lies that are used; 1. If you leave THIS CHURCH, you will go mad! 2. No one who has left is ever welcome to come back when things do no go well, out there. 3. God and the ancestors, will turn their backs on you and your family. 4. Be careful of Abazalwane!, they are very cruel and unloving people. 5. You will never be accepted amongst them (Abazalwane!) 6. Curses (Amabadi) that were removed from you will come back in a greater measure. And so many more. I am sure, you have heard them. Now, here is the plain truth. John 8:32 KJV [32] And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. The enemy knows that your freedom is just some truth, away. You open up to truth, your freedom sets in. People are free out there, simply because of hearing the Word of truth. Romans 10:8,17 KJV [8] But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; [17] So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. The opposite of fear is faith. The devil needs fear to keep you under, you need faith to go over. The enemy knows this. Luke 8:18 KJV [18] Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have. From the above passage, you can see that a few things can be learnt. 1. Faith is near. 2. It can be in ones mouth. 3. It can be in ones heart as well. 4. Faith can come. If it can come, surely, it can go. 5. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. This suggests that hearing something else, other than the Word of God, will bring the opposite, which is fear, doubt and unbelief. 6. The Word of God is the key. Christians (Abazalwane), have the Word of God. So, go get it!! False teacher/prophet: Sign 10. The leader is more in the mouth of the people, even more than The Lord of the Church. The followers will make the name of their leader much known. His or her pictures are everywhere. Posters, flyers and banners will always have the picture of their prophet. In the OT, the nation of Israel was forbidden even to have an image of a god. What was the reason, you may ask. In Psychology, it is a known fact that there more times you see an image, the longer or the more it will be burnt into your subconscious. This is the very reason why when you see something, that you find repulsive, at the first instance, on TV will ultimately become less bothersome as you watch it, frequently. Think about the gay relationship on a popular South African soapie, it was repulsive when you first saw it, now, it has become normal. So, the more pictures you see, the more comfortable you become. The alertness level is also affected. False teacher/prophet: Sign 11. Their prophecies are not calling about for repentance, prayer nor rededication to God. When they do bring about a Prophecy, it is never the kind that does what the scripture says prophecy will do. Here is a scripture: 1Co 14:3, reads: But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to EDIFICATION, and EXHORTATION, and COMFORT. Their Prophecies are about some misfortune that is going on in your life. The prophecy exposes the hidden, it also brings a rift between family members. Here, is closer look at the above words (CAPITALIZED) 1. Edification. n 1. improvement, instruction, or enlightenment, esp when morally or spiritually uplifting 2. the act of edifying or state of being edified edificatory adj 2. Exhortation. ex·hor·ta·tion (gzôr-tshn, ksôr-) n. 1. The act or an instance of exhorting. 2. A speech or discourse that encourages, incites, or earnestly advises. 3. Comfort. tr.v. com·fort·ed, com·fort·ing, com·forts 1. To soothe in time of affliction or distress. 2. To ease physically; relieve. Recently, a well-known prophet has been validated a man of God just because he foretold of the death of an African leader. Ya, right!! Be careful, you have been warned. False teacher/prophet: Sign 12. They have the manifestations, coupled with multitudes of crowds, substance and famous. - Almost all of them are known to have phenomenal things or miracles happening around them or in their ministries. - A manifestation is not necessarily of God just because it has taken place. Moses, in front of Pharaoh, while looking to set the children of God (Israel) from bondage, saw miracles performed by the wizards. Manifestations are not a validation that you are dealing with a Man of God. False teacher/prophet: Sign 13. They receive the praises of people. They do not give God, the glory. A well-known prophet in Gauteng, has been seen on a countless number of occasions dancing with the masses in his own church, to a praise song that mentions this man by name. The song is a familiar feature on a public show, on a local church. Clearly he has not read his bible, or should I say, his followers are ignorant of truth. They know who God is but they do not know what He is like. Acts 14:8,11,15 KJV [8] And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mothers womb, who never had walked: [11] And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men. [15] And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein: This text above, shows clearly what mankind ought to do when they are praised, regardless of how well they have done. Remember, IT IS ALWAYS ABOUT JESUS!! Philippians 2:9 KJV [9] Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: Acts 4:12 KJV [12] Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. False Prophets/ Teacher: Sign 14 They break up peoples marriages and homes. The bible reads, Matthew 19:6 KJV [6] Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. Remember this! In the last days there will be many troubles, because people will love themselves, love money, brag, and be proud. They will say evil things against others and will not obey their parents or be thankful or be the kind of people God wants. They will not love others, will refuse to forgive, will gossip, and will not control themselves. They will be cruel, will hate what is good, will turn against their friends, and WILL DO FOOLISH THINGS without thinking. They will be conceited, will love pleasure instead of God, and will act as if they serve God but will not have his power. Stay away from those people. Some of them go into homes and GET CONTROL OF SILLY WOMEN who are full of sin and are led by many evil desires. These women are always learning new teachings, but they are NEVER ABLE to understand the truth fully. (2 Timothy 3:1-7 NCV). These are the type of men, if unchecked, who will sleep with every woman they can lay their hand on, in the congregation. Such women have a secret pride of being in love with the leader of the church. They often interfere with family life by coaching the wife against the husband. Women are weaker vessels, if not protected by God and by His word, they MAY give in to any person who gives them attention. These prophets have some sort of control over these women, who are willing participants in these act of disobedience. I have heard of a church where the pastor was involved with two young women, in the church, who were both Sunday school teachers. This very pastor was a married man. Needless to say, this affected his marriage very badly.
