If you really are serious about expanding your database, you must seriously consider giving your current customers what they want. You must strive to be the provider of the things they need. For as long as you supply them the things they are looking for, they will constantly be at your doorstep – looking for you to fulfill their need. If you however, refuse to give them what they are searching for, and opt to persuade them to try something else you’re selling, then expect them to troop to your competitor to find what they are looking for.
