If you really want to see whats going on elsewhere in the state, and where I think we could/should be headed, take the time to watch this (a little at a time, if need be)... The time is ripe for change and the North Country is waking up little by little... Me? I just think people need to know how hard others are fighting and need tools to unite the efforts of others synergistically. Im doing everything I can to gather the tools we here in the North Country needed to grow exponentially into an effective and cohesive unit tied closely to other groups in the state. These combined and concerted efforts can and will contribute to raising awareness and creating a channel for direct coordinated action. Being the optimistic activist I am, I am full of hope that while we failed to elect an ethical Rob Astorino for Governor, this temporary setback did nothing to lessen the resolve of the many, many powerful activist groups alive and well in New York.... Do you feel defeated? I sure didnt notice anybody taking their Repeal the SAFE ACT signs down, did you? Personally I not only feel that the Emperor keeping his spot on the throne has not broken the spirit of, but has emboldened countless activist groups, many of whom I joined with in solidarity at the We the People of New York leadership summit on my birthday in the Catskills... Stay tuned to get more information on other efforts across the state. Meanwhile, watch this and feel the level of energy that does exist here in Putnam and understand this is going on all over the state from many groups and officials. I hope you will realize that we are not alone and need to reinvent the wheel, its already rolling fast and hard, we just need to jump aboard! The only difference between these people and us here in the #NorCo is that they have been actively working for change for a bit longer...
