If you saw this what would you do? It is 04:30 AM? I should have done nothing because no good deed goes unpunished. Call APSD is the wrong answer they sent 3 cars for a poorly parked car. I did my best to communicate the risk I placed 2 liter bottles in the road to delineate the lane after I insured no one should hit the car I called the APSD informed them of the hazard. I get a knock at my door the dog barks I ask who it is I hear APSD through the door. I try my best to open the door as quickly as I can they can hear the dog barking his ass off? The dog does not bite he runs outside the officer started to say almost shot him? I am like come on dont shoot him. The officer was laughing clearly he was not going to shoot the dog he did NOT get the weapon out the holster. He then informed me that I needed to go get the bottles. I said not a problem I got to the curve and the bottles were not there? I am searching around in the dark for them they were in the ditch? Now the car was still parked in that spot and anybody that would come around the curve would have been met with the surprise car. I picked up 4 and did not see the others. Officer came to me as I was leaving and said I did not get them all I said well they were in the street not the ditch. Who put them in the ditch he said he did? I bit my tongue because you dont argue with the law when they have a gun and a badge you go to your car and get a spot light so you can do search and rescue for the bottles that should have been in the road warning the people headed to work there is a hazard. I am sorry I called the law I should have just left the bottles in the road and called it a day. Granted the bottles are not certified traffic control devices but I dont have the backing of the state so I cant afford to break out with flares or leave cones in the road and hope the people would be nice enough to return them? You would think when they looked out their window they would put 2 and 2 together that the car is in a bad way. I am not setting foot on any property but my own that time in the morning, the street well I will do what I can to warn others of the risk or at least I use to NEVER AGAIN ! NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED. I was told by dispatch they would not send a deputy to my home then they send 3 of them? This makes me want to move deep DEEP in the woods and have a mile perimeter.
