If you see this video, please understand that its a big bag of crap. Its disgusting, really. Net Neutrality is integral to small businesses. Weve HAD IT for forever, and ISPs want to change that so they can use different government regulations to kill competition. (One way or another the FCC is drafting regulations, period.) Net Neutrality creates the most open playing field. This whole small businesses have to pay the same as big ones idea is also a lie that misses out on the dynamics involved in how the net works. (You do have to pay more to host more content and to handle more traffic.) The big cable companies want to be able to extort money from companies who are in direct competition with their bottom line. They want the government to let them have the ability to literally crush their competitors via government regulation. No telling how they will handle small businesses. Will I have to pay even more money so people can see my photography?? The internet should be open for everyone, not left in the hands of a few powerful people with nothing to lose and everything to gain. And again, this video is BS. Its the sort of twisted propaganda were up against. It seems fair an reasonable, but take it from someone who has been online for more than 10 years... This is a lie. This isnt about helping small businesses or being fair. Its about Comcast and Time Warner crushing Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, and a whole new market so that their dated technology can survive, all while putting everyone else into their hands as well to do with as they see fit.
