If you try to follow the spiritual ways of life, it is like building your home with valuable and strong materials that will last much longer than a life time. That house will endure every storm every calamity. It will necessarily of course take much longer and require much more work and effort than others who build their lives around material interests and concerns and all that it entails. Their houses built of material and worldly concerns will be as if they are built out of sand and will be relatively easy to construct. They may have a beautiful sand castle and you may even admire it and wish that you could have the same but just one storm, one wave of water and it comes crumbling and is as naught..... So though it may be difficult, keep building, keep working, keep trying with faith and certitude....:)
