"If you want to be a player in today’s hi-fi scene, Grellman says that $100,000 will put you in low-end territory. If you can spend between $200,000 and $300,000, you can buy a very, very good system. And for the best of the best? A million should do the trick." That should do an adequate job of turning off (if not the monetary claims, the sheer elitist arrogance) any sensible, previously-interested person who could be a "player" for so, so much less.
