Thankyou for considering to submit your story. This bit of time you take to craft your story could make a difference to many boys lives, for years to come. Here are some suggestions so as the story fits with the theme of the book. Max 1000 words. 600-1000 is good. Make the backbone of your story a real story from your life. You may make a theme as part of your story but please no preaching or advice giving. Don’t only give stories that have happy neat little endings, boys have had enough of that from Hollywood. Share you guts and the scars. Start the story with just a few lines about you and your life. (See my example below) I think the story would end beautifully with a blessing for the young man that maybe comes out of the story. Keep it non denominational. We are not trying to convert anyone. As much as possible share the story so they get taken right into it, rather than just describing it from the outside. Remember who you are writing to. A 13 to 16 year old boy around a campfire. Keep it to him. We have had lots of interest already so I will just have to choose the 20-30 stories that best fit the theme, sorry if your story doesn’t make it. There may be other books down the track. It may be edited a little but not published without your permission. If you have an image of yourself, or you and your sons, or you and your dad, that you would like included send it in, I’m not sure what we are doing with images yet so send them in and that may help me make a call.
