If you want to support some hardworking peace activists with your wallet this year, please help Iraq Veterans Against the War raise funds to help members travel for IVAW events and actions: In order to bring our members together next year for all scheduled programs, we need at least $20,000 to pay for our members to travel in 2015. Many of our members struggle with unemployment, underemployment, disabilities and homelessness and truly rely on travel stipends to participate in retreats, trainings, mobilizations, and healing support. These gatherings provide space for community and healing, but they are also the place where we create strategies to end militarism and to better the lives of our impacted communities. It is how we provide members with the skills and education that they need to be successful organizers and activists, and it is a large part of how we fight for justice and make change.
