Glasgow Girl Amal Mally Azzudin speaking up for Gaza on the steps of the First Ministers Official residence at the conclusion of last weeks Hands off Gaza demo in Edinburgh. I had the good fortune to see it live, and have been waiting over a week to get a link to a video so as I could watch it again and share with all my fb friends. Worth the wait, and worth share after share. And if you know Amals back story as a one time asylum seeker from Somalia, and one of the leading members of the Glasgow Girls asylum rights group ( recently portrayed in a BBC drama), you will appreciate more fully the significance of this moment. Not just for Gaza, but for Scotland.
