If you were pure love and you had the opportunity to create an image of your own mother, would you not want to make her the most perfect expression of love possible? His image would be the most perfect example of a mother that would ever live. Satan saw this image and purposely distorted it before Mary even came into time. He created pagan images of fecundity goddesses and queens of heavens. The Queen who intercedes for the god son of Babylonian pagan and Egyptian beliefs, gods born of virgin births he created the act of sacrificing the first born, all to keep humanity from Gods mother and Gods church before they came into time. The church was attacked by this same paganism at its inception. Christ bestowed glory upon his mother by making her sinless and giving her a roll in the salvation process because God is also perfect equity. At Christ’s christening Mary was told that Jesus would be a sign of contradiction (the curse of the cross) and a sword would pierce your heart. Mary’s heart was pierced at the cross by watching her son die an incredible and agonizing death as only a mother could but it did not end there. The book of Revelations says nothing unclean can get into heaven. Mary was clean, perfected in grace as the angel Gabriel declared. This is an implicit biblical belief that supports the dogma that Mary is in heaven with Jesus; a decree through the church that the founders of Protestantism believed also. So, in heaven is a state of being that is not composed of linear time as we know it. Mary continues to have her heart pierced in heaven because she continues to see all of the sins against the cross, the sins of humanity, the indifference of humanity, the persecution of Christ’s mystical body. “Saul why do you persecute ME.” How does God fulfill his own law? As God if he would glorify his mother from only a level that a human beings can accomplish then he would not be fulfilling his own law and would not be expressing perfect equity. He was God on earth; Mary is the Theotokos the God bearer, he is Emanuel therefore his glory in perfect equity would have to be supernatural. He would have to give supernatural graces to his mother his greatest creation. In perfect equity if Mary participates in his sorrow and a sword pierces her heart, then she would also participate in the redemptive act of salvation. This is family. As the true Eve, mother of Christians in perfect equity this role in the redemptive process will also be a motherly role. Family was designed by God so that we could see his mystery of salvation. This is one of the reasons Satan wants to destroy Gods image of family. The human family although raise to the sacramental level in nature is secondary to this. The family is designed so that the Mother intercedes for the children to the father. A father is head of the household and the mother is the one to go to for requests because the mother has the heart of the Father. The mother is the heart of the family. The love of the mother is a compassionate and giving love while the love of the father is slightly different. It is a love that expresses a desire for you to grow and mature. Over and over again we hear of visionaries and saints telling us that Mary cannot hold back her sons hand much longer and that much prayer and conversion is needed. In this act she is playing her role in the spiritual family. Those in deep prayer often feel enveloped and wrapped in the love of their spiritual mother Mary. In this love they find the extension of humility and graces. If God is love and all love comes from God then our mother Mary is simply an extension of God’s love according to his family design. This is the simple understanding of meadiatrix and co-redemptrix. The redeeming power of God’s love enters our souls through his love expressed by his mother. This could not be accomplished without Mary’s role of our spiritual mother but is a natural outpouring of her role as our spiritual mother. It is through Gods love that we find humility and all grace, it is through Mary’s role as mother whom Gods graces flow. Does God give us grace directly sometimes? Yes I believe he does just as a father instructs and uplifts a son, but Mary is the heart of the family and it is through this immaculate heart that God wants to give us his love and grace. He created the perfect mother in order to give us the perfect love.
