If your a meteor customer listen up. If your an I phone owner this is what you have to do to get a simple claim for broken phone screen through. First you have to down load a claim form from MOBILECOVER.IE the company recommended by meteor when you buy the phone. Then you fill it out giving proof of purchase and you credit card details ????? Why the credit card details...... Well they charge you £65.00 that you are liable for on each claim up front and non refundable. That added to the £15.00 bubble envelope and insurance you have to pay to send it away for Ten days or so equals £80.00 which is what you would pay in a reputable phone shop to get the glass fixed. All information is emailed to you but since they have your iPhone in the first place you never get the email unless you phone them to find out whats keeping the repair??????? In short its a rip off, plain and simple. I insured an article that is more expensive for them to fix than if I fixed it myself ???? So whats the point. METEOR recommend this company when you buy a handset from them. Please share this in order to stop this happening to you. MOBILE COVER.IE is the name to steer clear of. Thanks people. Now Im going to try to get my phone back off them and get it fixed myself, and use an IRISH insurer in future, and perhaps change my network as well. after all if this is the rubbish METEOR are recommending it doesnt say very much for them ..............., now does it.
