If your out late at night and find yourself on the corner of cashio and Robertson near the cleaners, you may see a thin, Caucasian, homeless-looking man with a small beard and a baseball cap walking around. He looks of a bit scary and you probably would think he is not Jewish...but he is. In fact, I was brave enough to talk with him while I was doing emergency laundry late at night. It turns out that he is quite a nice and intelligent man from south Africa who learns Torah when he can, but grew up without parents and has very few friends due to his poverty. If you see him, please befriend him while your doing your laundry. It meant a lot to him that he had someone to talk to.
