If youre a C. S. Lewis fan but didnt know you could actually hear Lewis speak, well, he was asked by the British government to speak to the people during the war, as a sort of moral encouragement. Surely this is the last time, in this western world, that a mainstream Christian apologist was brought to a microphone BY a government to speak for Christianity. Nowadays, governments work overtime to make sure that does not happen. The ten minute lectures he read on the BBC broadcast network were the core of his work for Mere Christianity.
