If youre a fan of colder temperatures then you will love the forecast for the next couple of days, especially if you live in the northern half of the Mid-South. A reinforcing cold front will move across our area this afternoon. High pressure will be in place across the central United States after the frontal passage which will usher in a colder airmass. Toss in the effects of radiational cooling (from clear skies, light winds, and low humidity) and parts of our area will see lows in the upper 20s to mid 30s overnight tonight and to a lesser extent on Friday night as high pressure slides east. A Freeze Watch is in place for northern areas of the Mid-South for the overnight hours tonight into Friday morning. North and east of our immediate area a Freeze Warning is in place.
