If youre a fan of local MMA or just a supporter, friend, or family of someone who fights then please take a few seconds to sign this petition. The SC Athletic Commission has drastically increased licensing fees for fighters and their coaches(cornermen). The cost for a fighter has been increased from $25 to $75 and the cost for a corner has been increased from $50 to $100 for 1 year licenses. These costs are significantly higher than surrounding states like NC, GA, and TN so this will deter fighters from competing in SC. Local promoters have indicated that they will not be promoting any shows in SC until we can get the fees back to where they were. As of now, the SC Athletic Commission has effectively killed MMA in South Carolina. If we can get enough signatures on this petition, we can get this changed.
