A few of us have been discussing the idea of setting up a 10 week poker league that will not only hold weekly payouts, but will also boil down to a final playoff tournament table for some big money. All I ask is that if youre interested that you please read our entire initial format and let me know what dates, times, and additional suggestions you may have are. $100 initial league buy in for playoff table $30 a weekly regular season buy ins 20 players (or more if interest is there). 10 week regular season 1 playoff tournament Each week plays like a typical 20 man tourney. $20 goes to the weeks tournament ($400 weekly) payout, $10ea goes to end of season playoff table. For each week of play, points are awarded for finish place. For example: 1st=20pts, 2nd=19pts, 3rd=18pts, 20th=1pt. At the end of the season, top 10 point leaders go to final playoff table with the amount of chips that correlate to their point totals. Example: Joe finishes season with 150pts and Josh finishes with 130pts, Joe brings $150 to final playoff table and Josh brings $130. IF YOU MISS A WEEK OR TWO THATS OK! youre allowed 2 designated player fill ins. They can play for their own share ($20) for that week and you will pay the $10 that goes to the playoff table and still earn their points. In the end, the final playoff payouts could look like: 1st:$2000 2nd:$800 3rd:$600 4th:$300 5th:$200 Regular season winner:$100 And weekly payouts could look like: 1st:$200 2nd:$130 3rd:$50 4th:$20 Other notes and ideas: BONUS POINTS can be awarded weekly for things such as Royal flushes(20pts), straight flushes(15pts), 4 of a kinds, bad beats (10pts), and bounty kills (perhaps whoever eliminates prior weeks winner, 5pts). We could award intro bonus points for those that PAY THEIR ENTIRE LEAGUE FEE UP FRONT so that playoff table does not miss out on money. Example: $100 league fee+($30week fee x10weeks)=$400 up front, will get 10 bonus points. $100 league fee+($10 playoff share x10weeks)=$200 will get 5 bonus points. RE-BUYS are allowed in weekly tournaments at the cost of a %25 finishing point deduction. Example: Josh finishes 3rd but rebuys twice. 18pts finish place -4.5 (25% of 18) -4.5 (25% of 18) = 9pts for that week. We just need to find a day and time that works for everyone. Leaning towards Fridays or Saturdays at 7pm so everyone can still enjoy their weekend nights Could have various host locations based on whoever would like to host but we already have several volunteers.
