If youre wondering whats happening with the boating lake, its being emptied so it can be given a thorough clean. Norwich City Council have bought in a company thats able to carefully remove fish during the process, so the beautiful shoals of fish, that have appeared in the last year or so will all be rescued. The plan is to put some of them into the lily pond send others to new homes elsewhere. The boating lake will be left fish-free, while the lily pond will once again be home to shoals of little fish. And for the future care of these fish, weve been told that its important that other fish arent added to the lily pond in case they bring with them harmful diseases. So please dont be tempted to let your own fish swim-free in Eaton Park!
