#Ikis a geographical area the most marginalized Ikis is a geographical area in the mountain of Atlas; it belongs to common of Imider, one of the seven villages which revolt against marginalization and Impoverishment … although it is not far from the mine only 3 Km, it’s still living in a stone age. As well as, it based on agricultural activity as the main supplier of living but it Declines from year to year because of the worse exploitation of water sources, environmental changing which comes from the company. In addition each time you visit this village you can find it like a war occurred. You will find innocent childhood eyes, even all the kind of misery and sufferance it still have a hope to be exist ,it loves life , wishes to play, to be happy and live like other children are living. Moreover all people in this village fight against the oppression condition, harsh natural conditions, absence of water drinking and electricity… So the company and the state are the irresponsible about this hard situation and it’s very strange to live near a treasure without benefit nothing???? This geographical area made up of 5 regions: 1_TaEddi 2_ Ikis Amazdar 3_ Tachghaqqacct 4_ Bouhkku 5_ Amerdul N wajrg All these regions suffered from many problems, most of them less of infrastructure, unpaved road, schools… so in general less of everything, just pollution and inhalation of the toxic substances namely Cyanide and mercury …furthermore the absence of any attempt to make a fact-finding about this worse situation which these 5 regions. 1_______ _as in infrastructure We can find unpaved road so as to facilitate the way to other places like to Tinghir and Boumaln Dades… and deviant ways are madding by Ait Ikis. Also no hospital, just suffering from the toxic substances which come from the company and it impacts their health, their livestocks and their land, so even they are living in this environmental impact they don’t have even one small health center. 2____ Education In the side of education there is no education really because of the absence of the simple condition for a good education, morally and physically how you can say to a student who takes one hour to arrive at school, this hour of walking will break him morally and vice versa when he comes back home he will be tired, he will just think to sleep because he is thinking about tomorrow, and exactly about the road not how to make his level high by revising something. “When I arrive the school I have to take one hour in the class just for taking rest” as one of the student said. One hour in the road and one other for taking rest so what will be the rest? Where is the state (country) which pretends to battle against dropout or dropping out of school? so that’s in one side in other side Ikis have one central in Ikis Amazdar which have just two classes, two teachers, going back to classes, one of them was built by cement and the other one by mud is this condition of a state want to develop the main section in the country . In addition, this central have other secondaries but the same problems are still exist. This just a glimpse about Ikis one of the 7 villages which engaged in a sit-in on mountain Albban, So until here we have the right to ask; is it possible to find in the near future a state which really want to take care of its citizens and give them a great value as human being? Or are we facing a group of gangs which eat and never satisfy, steal what underground and above and a state which is not caring about the existence of human being in their land? Uxabassu Eumar
