Ill admit that Im totally weird. When it comes to writing song lyrics, I cant pick a subject or topic and just sit and write about it. I have to listen to the music a bunch and see what jumps out at me lyrically or melody wise and then go from there. Thats just how its always been. That being said, weve have a few new KLANK songs up on deck that have been waiting to get the lyrical treatment. Before we left to play in NY, I was getting kind of frustrated because I just wasnt feeling what I was coming up with at the time for a few of them. Earlier this morning I set up my phone so I can listen to the songs in the car en route to work and Im so glad I did. I got melody lines, lyrical ideas flowing and Im pretty stoked on the wave of creativity thats going on right now. Funny how creativity works. It cant be forced, but when it hits, you just gotta run with it!
