Ill come right out and say that I dont agree with this article. Yes, we as Christians dont have to be scared of death. But to die the way this woman would die is terrifying. Who are we to judge someone who has TERMINAL cancer and a BRAIN tumor that is changing her into someone that is not her? I hate cancer. I think those who fight cancer are some of the bravest individuals in the world. But Brittany fought and she lost. Is it not her right to choose not to suffer in such agony? To the author of this particular article: I am sorry you are dying. I have no idea what it feels like to know that you are dying. I so wish that there was a cure for your cancer, and I wish there was a cure for Brittanys. You are choosing to keep living as long as you can, so you feel you can judge Brittany for choosing to die? Brittany faces neurological symptoms that you dont have to face. You are NOT the same as her, and your situation is not the same. They are both equally sad and tragic, but not the same. Suicide is not something that I accept as brave or right, but I dont believe this is suicide. I believe this is dying with dignity. And so I will stand behind Brittany and her family as they face the hardest season of their lives.
